At Zimmer + Rohde and ADO Goldkante, we know how important it is to balance tradition and innovation to create the most exquisite designs to suit our times.
Today, the value of a product goes beyond its beauty and technological innovation and is linked to attentive production processes that respect the craftsmanship and the people behind each textile. We understand the importance of taking responsibility for our processes. We are committed to working towards the goal of designing more conscious and responsible textiles that bring even more beauty to your projects. In this regard, we have developed five criteria for our Zimmer + Rohde, Hodsoll McKenzie, Etamine and ADO Goldkante brands. Two of the five criteria - Contains Recycled Fibers and Contains Organic Fibers - will now be awarded with a wooden ring on the hanger.
To give you an even better understanding of the topic of sustainability and the wooden ring, we offer free training sessions with our expert Fredericke Winkler. Choose between one of the following dates and later use the corresponding zoom link, which you will receive via e-mail shortly before the event, to participate.
Using the resources that are already available is an important aspect of building a circular economy. By incorporating more and more recycled fiber into our products, we are helping to reduce waste and promote an understanding of the quality and beauty of recycled products. To ensure the highest quality of our recycled materials, we strive to work with the GRS seal for our fibers and equipment. Only when a product contains at least 50% recycled fiber do we declare it with our wood ring.
GRS- Global Recycle Standard
In addition to recycled fibers, we also strive for better harvesting and production methods for our natural fibers. When using organic fibers, we make sure to work with the following seals: GOTS, C2C, Fairtrade, European Flax - as well as RWS for animal fibers. We commit to working with at least 50% organic natural fibers in the natural fiber content of our products before we say: contains organic fibers.
GOTS- Global Organic Textile Standard
C2C- Cradle to Cradle
RWS- Responsible Wool Standard
